DO NOT use a dishwasher.
DO NOT leave near a direct heat source including in a window where the sun can heat it excessively, this will cause warping.
DO NOT leave in a damp environment.
Remove labels by first peeling then gently use a scouring sponge with cold water
These are natural products, sometimes they smell of Ox, this can be quite a strong smell but can be got rid of quite easily. Firstly, fill the tankard with a solution of detergent and water to about 3/4 of the total capacity and leave for about an hour or two then wash thoroughly in cold water. We are advised that red wine is the best thing to use after this washing process as the tannin helps dissipate the smell. It is a natural smell and not something to worry about in any way.
